So we are down to the wire. Caught Read-Handed will be released in less than a month, and I’m sure everyone is wondering the same thing. What magical recipe will be found between the covers of the book?

I am overjoyed to tell you that Karen Owen who blogs at A Cup of Tea and A Cozy Mystery among other fabulous blogs, accepted the challenge when I begged, er, asked her to develop a Miss Marple Scone recipe for Caught Read-Handed. In no time at all Karen had developed three scone recipes, all with some variation of oranges to signify Florida. My granddaughter Katie and I were the recipe testers. We made the scones. Everyone who tried them loved them. We finally settled on Miss Marple’s Orange Iced Scones. Oh so delicious.

Now you, too, can try Karen’s mouth-watering scones. You will find the recipe at the end of Caught Read-Handed right behind page 289. So take Karen’s advice. Along with A Cup of Tea and A Cozy Mystery, you really must have an orange scone or two.

Karen has a busy life that includes her husband, three active sons, collecting dolls and delicate tea cups and teapots, crafting and being an awesome friend to so very many people, some near her home in Vancouver and some a lot further away.

Karen, I can’t thank you enough for your help and for the support that you give to cozy writers everywhere. You are a treasure.

Terrie
